TERRY ASHE-CROFT is a co-founder, producer and casting director for STAGE SHADOWS PRODUCTIONS, INC. "Radio Like You've Never Seen It!"™. Most recently, she was The Queen in Saroyan's The Cave Dwellers, director Pamela Moller Kareman, at The Schoolhouse, Croton Falls. Originally from San Francisco, she was a member of the San Francisco Theatre Company, appearing in Picnic, Wonderful Town, Rose Tattoo, Too Much for TV, She Stoops to Conquer, Boy With A Cart. She's done regional theatre and summer stock in California, Connecticut and Canada, in numerous plays - Blue Denim, Visit to a Small Planet, Harvey, and The Solid Gold Cadillac. Off-Broadway, she created the role of Edith in the U.S. premiere of Joe Orton's The Good and Faithful Servant (Actors Playhouse), appeared in the premiere of Adina Ruskin's Oigo - I Hear (John Houseman Studio Theatre, director Elysa Marden), Lysistrata (74th Street Theatre), Pericles (Ohio Space), Eavesdropping on Tables by Jon Teta, Another Day Without Ducks and The Moon in the Man (Steve McGraw's), Ring Around the Rosie (Playwrights Horizon), Ladies in Retirement, War Games. Favorite roles include Frau Frankenstein, Rosalind, Dionyza, Mrs. Prickett, The Star, and The Queen. With Stage Shadows, she has appeared in numerous productions and directed four. REX BENINCASA (World Music Percussionist and Diver) has been a freelancing drummer and world music percussion specialist in New York for 22 years. Along with hundreds of television/radio soundtracks and commercial recordings, he has performed with The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the New Music Consort, Flamenco Latino, Carlota Santana Spanish Dance, Andrea DelConte Danza Espana, Pilar Rioja, the Grammy Orchestra, Amanecer Flamenco Progressivo, The Pittsburgh Ballet, The Sacramento Ballet, and the Merce Cummingham Dance Company. Rex has recorded albums and movie soundtracks for Christine Lavin, Foday Musa Suso, Philip Glass, Conversion, Sesame Street, NFL Films, The Sons of Sepharad and The Gerard Edery Ensemble. Mr. Benincasa likes all kinds of music.
CLAY MCLEOD CHAPMAN (Professor Peter Renton and Mr. Blair) is the creator of the Pumpkin Pie Show, a rigorous storytelling session backed by its own live soundtrack, scored and performed by lit rock band One Ring Zero. YUSSEF EL GUINDI (Playwright, Murder in the Mirror) Yussef El Guindi is primarily a playwright living in Seattle. Originally from Egypt, he received his MFA in playwriting from Carnegie-Mellon University and was playwright-in-residence at Duke University for several years. His plays have been performed at various theaters around the country. His most recent play, Finishing School. was staged at Theater Babylon in Seattle. His adaptation of Chekhov’s A Marriage Proposal into an Arab-American setting was staged by the Arab Theatrical Arts Guild in Dearborn, Michigan. It was nominated for several PAGE awards including Outstanding achievement in Original Play or Adaptation. His short film, Love Stalks, won an award for best short narrative film at the Seattle Underground Film Festival and was aired on KTEH. Yussef is currently literary manager for Golden Thread Productions.
ESMÉE (Director) is the co-founder, producer and web master of STAGE SHADOWS PRODUCTIONS, INC. "Radio Like You've Never Seen It!"™. She is in postproduction on her first digital, documentary feature about the successful use of complementary medicine to control prostrate cancer. Esmée’s TV and Film production work includes assistant director of the three features, River Red, Miriam, Adverse Possession and the short film, Foggy Day In Virginia and, three seasons as Law & Order’s first team production assistant. Esmée is a proud member of The Players, New York Women in Film & Television, and Derek Gianfresco’s family. Thank you to all the diverse talent that has come out to play with us on this production and all of our productions over the past 9 years. It has been a great honor, privilege and education to work on such a unique project with such an extraordinary pool of people. I’m especially grateful to Terry and Robert, whose partnership on these productions has brought with each a rainbow of lessons and joy. Thank you for being my partners, mentors, pupils, and friends.
RICHARD FERRONE (Sommers, Professor Jarvis and Inspector Brodie) has performed in over 75 productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off Off-Broadway, regional theatres and tours. His experience runs the gamut from the classic works of Shakespeare and Brecht to the contemporary theatre of Mamet and Durang. Richard was a founding member of Tony Randall's National Actors Theatre. His Broadway credits include: The Crucible and A Little Hotel on the Side; Off-Broadway: Romeo & Juliet with Theatre for a New Audience and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial. Last summer he played Prospero in The Tempest at the Center for the Performing Arts in Hoboken, NJ where he has also appeared in Much Ado About Nothing (Leonato), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Bottom), The Merry Wives of Windsor (Ford) and As You Like It (the 2 Dukes). Some of his favorite roles at the Tony Award-winning Trinity Repertory Company in Rhode Island, where he was in over 45 productions, include: Mosca in Volpone, Boo in The Marriage of Bette and Boo, McCue in The Front Page, Birdie Bowers in Terra Nova, Camille Chandebise in A Flea in Her Ear, Wes Hurley in 5th of July, Ariel in The Tempest, Betty and Edward in Cloud 9, Larry Layton in Jonestown Express (World Premiere), Valere in Tartuffe, Tim Allgood in Noises Off, A. Ratt in Camino Real, and Charlie in Tintypes. Other regional theatre credits include playing Johnny in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune at GEVA in Buffalo, NY. On tour and at the International Theatre Festival in Stockholm, he played Sergeant Rooney in Streamers. On television, he has appeared on Law & Order, Against the Law (featured), Working It Out with Jane Curtin, Guiding Light and One Life To Live as well as the TV movie, The Demon Murder with Kevin Bacon, Cloris Leachman and Andy Griffith. Richard has also narrated over 150 audiobooks. His recordings of the Prey series by John Sandford continue to garner awards and captivate listeners. He received an Audie Award last Spring for his work on Hidden Victory, and is currently nominated by Audioworld as Best Reader for Abarat by Clive Barker.
LAURA JAMES FLYNN (Jeannie Ross) is currently appearing as Anne Chute in The Irish Repertory Theatre’s production of The Colleen Bawn. Previous work at The Irish Rep. Includes The Playboy of the Western World and Pigtown. Regional credits include Sylvia, Twelfth Night, A Delicate Balance, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Blithe Spirit, The Murder Room and Working, The Musical. Film credits include Earth Paradise, Something for Nothing, Little Christmas. Compositional credits (original music) include The Tempest, As You Like It and The Legend of Deirdre.
BEEJ JOHNSON (Hathor and Margaret Macbain) has performed in regional theatre, television and soaps. Roles include Elvira in Blithe Spirit, Molly in The Mousetrap, Yvette in Mother Courage and Her Children and the Stage Manager in The Actors Nightmare and Diane in Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You. ROBERT KILBRIDGE (Director) has worked Off- and Off-off-Broadway, in regional theatre, television, commercials, and on several feature films, including The Paper, Silverado, Red Dawn, and as 'Red Dick’s Corpse' in Lust in the Dust, starring that inimitable epicure, Divine. Robert is the co-founder and senior producer of STAGE SHADOWS PRODUCTIONS, INC. "Radio Like You've Never Seen It!"™. Over the past seven years, Robert has produced, directed or acted in over 50 audio dramas for the radio and Internet. He has appeared in many radio dramas himself, including Peabody Award winning playwright Arch Oboler's horror classic Revolt of the Worms and Cat Wife with the unsinkable Tammy Grimes and Brian Murray. Recently Robert added his voice to those of Simon Jones, Elizabeth Wilson, Michael Allinson and Victor Slezak in Aspects of Oscar, directed by Michael Tolan. Robert is a member of The Players, The Journey Company, and the late great Alice's Fourth Floor. In his other life, the secret one, Robert won an Associate Producer Emmy Award this year for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
JAMES LARMER (Ziad Salama and Donald Macbain) Born and raised in Papua New Guinea, James M Larmer comes from a background of stage and film in Australia. Reflecting his unique background James has been recently starred in The Pitchfork Disney with the English theatre company, Stiff Upper Lip as well as He Died with a Felafel in His Hand with the Australian theatre company, Hair of the Dog. Recent work includes the great roles of Dr Henry Block in Psychopathia Sexualis at the Atlantic Theatre Company Studios and Garry Essendine in Present Laughter at The Century Center Theatre at Union Square. Other favorite roles include, John D. Rockefeller in Laurel Vartabedian's epic musical, American Story and Hamlet in The Medicine Show’s production of Mr. Shakespeare and Mr. Porter. Regional work includes Chapin, Simon, Dylan & Friends, Florida Studio Theatre’s stirring tribute to America’s storytellers. James has also landed leading roles in several independent films including Mixing Nia and Gimme Some Lovin’ and the soon-to-be-released The Pondhoppers and Love From The Machine.
DAVID MIDDLETON (Playwright, Landslide) With his late wife Sheila Hudson, Mr. Middleton founded Audiovision International, a audio distribution company, from their Berry Cottage Studio in Shrewton near Salisbury, Wilshire, England. It is rumored in certain circles that "Landslide" is more than a work of imagination.
JEFF PETERS (Host, George, Dr. Kilbryde, and Sandy Gillespie) This is Jeff's fourth appearance with STAGE SHADOWS PRODUCTIONS, INC. “Radio Like You’ve Never Seen It!” ™ (The Whispering Wall, Still Radio Active, Hold, The Chronology Protection Case) and tallies up 21 characters! As a performer, Jeff is a regular on CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman. He has appeared Off-Broadway in the hit comedies Beau Jest and The Cocoanuts and is currently featured in the film American Splendor. Jeff has also performed in over 50 feature films, 100 stage productions and 250 corporate events. Mr. Peters is also the Founder and President of Peters’ Productions, an all-media event and entertainment production company whose products include: The Great Show with David Leddermanã (an industrial extravaganza), Schitz (a sketch comedy television show), Camp Tamahwee (a children’s television show), Fatuity (a radio comedy show), and Melvin G. Moose, Toode Dick (a graphic novel). Jeff received his BFA from Carnegie Mellon University, with a Theatre Major in Directing and a Minor in Acting. WERNER PETRIKAT (Sound Designer and Audio Engineer) was born in New York City. He lived in Europe for several years working as an audio engineer for many music bands, most notably the Dandy Warhols, Fun Loving Criminals, John Watts and Swamp Head. Mr. Petrikat also worked as an audio engineer for theatres in Berlin, Nice, Vienna and other European cities. He relocated back to New York last summer to open a recording studio, Spider’s Mobil Unit and co-fronts the band Hapi Krak.

Terry Ashe-Croft, Esmée and Robert Kilbridge, incorporated in December 1995, choosing audio theatre as the focus for our project, working to develop Theatre of the Imagination for a new audience and a new age. With professional writers, directors, performers, musicians, sound and audio technicians, Stage Shadows is exploring sound and drama as we enter this new age of broadband opportunities which brings a global audience to our story telling via the Internet.
